P&P Musical Theatre Society (MTS)
Poole and Parkstone Productions are very proud to have celebrated our Centenary year in 2019. From our humble beginnings in 1919 as Parkstone Vocal and Instrumental Society, our membership has grown, and our programme has diversified but our aim has remained the same; to stage exciting and entertaining theatre for the local community whilst raising much needed funds for a variety of charities. Some of our recent productions include Me and My Girl, Elf The Musical, Our House, Guys and Dolls, 42nd Street, Sweeney Todd, All Shook Up and Calamity Jane to name a few.
Typically we present a Full Musical production in May at the Lighthouse, Poole and a cabaret-style concert or smaller scale musical in November at the Barrington Theatre, Ferndown, as well as ad-hoc performances at events with other sections of P&P throughout the year.

To join the Musical Theatre Society, you will need to pass an audition which will include singing, dance and acting. More information can be found on our Join Us page.
We are never afraid of trying something different which is one of the reasons we have such a vibrant, energetic and creative membership with a wide age-range. There is always room for more though, so if you would like to join us then please visit our Join Us page to find out how.
MTS rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings at The Spire, High Street, Poole, Dorset, BH15 1DF, and some Thursday evenings and Sundays as necessary.
Volunteering
As well as our talented performers, we have many dedicated volunteers to help carry out the many jobs that are needed to keep the show on the road. The list is endless but a few of those jobs involve costume design and making, scenery construction and painting, acquiring of props, administration, stage management.
