Welcome. We are Poole and Parkstone Productions, better known as P&P, an amateur theatrical company based in Poole, Dorset.
We are one of the best-known amateur theatrical companies on the South Coast and have won numerous awards, both locally and regionally, for our productions. You can read some of our reviews here. We have a thriving membership of over 100 and produce several major shows and concerts each year.
The company has three sections, P&P Musical Theatre, producing musical theatre shows and concerts, P&P Singers, our choir, who perform their own concerts as well as competing in music festivals and our newest section P&P Players that performs straight plays.
We hope you enjoy exploring this website. It contains information about each of our three sections as well as details on how to get in touch and our latest productions.

From 12th June to 16th June 2012
At The Barrington Theatre, Penny’s Walk, Ferndown, Dorset, BH22 9TH
“Something for everyone, a comedy tonight” ….Stephen Sondheim’s opening
lyric sets the tone for Broadway’s greatest farce. Light,
fast-paced, witty, irreverent and one of the funniest musicals ever
written. The hilarious book is by Burt Shevelove and Larry
Gelbart (creators of the “M*A*S*H” TV series) who take comedy back to
its roots, combining situations from time-tested, 200 year old bawdy
comedies of Roman playwright Plautus with the infectious energy of
classic vaudeville. The result is a non-stop laugh-fest in which
a crafty slave (Pseudolus) struggles to win the hand of a beautiful but
slow-witted courtesan (Philia) for his naïve young master (Hero), in
exchange for freedom.
The show premiered on Broadway in 1962 and went on to win the Tony
award for Best Musical and Best Book of a Musical.
