About the event
The P&P Players return to The Barrington Theatre, with The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, Jim Cartwright’s Olivier Award-winning modern classic, directed by Deanna Langford.
Shy and reclusive, Little Voice spends her days locked away in her bedroom, finding solace in her father’s old records. But when she opens her mouth to sing, something extraordinary happens: the powerful voices of her father's idols are released from her usually restrained soul.
When a sleazy talent scout hears her gift however, she is thrust into a spotlight she never asked for, much to the annoyance of her brash and overbearing mother. As dreams clash with desperation, Little Voice must find the courage to speak - and sing - for herself.
Funny, raw and heartbreakingly human; Don’t miss this bittersweet tale that celebrates the magic of music and the fight to be heard.
