Oliver- 3rd- 6th June 2020,

It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that we have sadly had to cancel our upcoming production of Oliver.

After exploring every possible avenue, we have been unable to arrange an alternative date, as the show is on a limited licence.

We are so, so sorry to all of our talented cast and crew who have been working so incredibly hard, and to everyone who had bought tickets and were looking forward to the performance. Please know that we really have tried absolutely everything to make it happen.

If you have paid for tickets through the P&P box office, our Treasurer will be in touch with regards to refunds. The Lighthouse will handle refunds for all orders booked directly with them and they will be in touch to arrange this in due course.

We continue to work hard behind the scenes, and we have some very exciting shows planned for the not too distant future, so do keep an eye on our website and social media channels for news. You can also join our mailing list to be the first to hear about updates here.

Stay safe everybody,

Covid- 19 Statement 20/3/2020

Just a short message in response to Boris Johnson's statement a few moments ago. The committee will be holding discussions over the next few days and weeks on what the future holds for our current productions. Rehearsals are currently suspended for all sections. We will give all members any updates as soon as they happen.

If you have any questions in the meantime then please email us, Clare Albanozzo on or Clare I'Anson on

We thank you for your support and patience during this period of uncertainty for all of us.

Stay Safe Everyone.

The P&P Executive Committee

Established as Parkstone Vocal and Instrumental Society in 1919, P&P’s Musical Theatre Society has grown

to become one of the best known

musical theatre companies in the

Bournemouth and Poole area.

They have performed a variety of shows from Oliver, to 42nd Street, Sweeney Todd, to Jesus Christ Superstar as well

as their famous November Concerts

and smaller cabaret performances

across the region.

The Players was set up in 2005 for members who enjoy performing (and audiences who enjoy watching) straight plays.

They have had huge success with

plays such as Rebecca, Steel Magnolias and A Bunch of Amateurs as well as our regular Summer Cocktails and Evening of One Act Plays, and even performing a show penned by one of their own members; Changing Fortunes.

P&P’s resident choir The Singers was founded in 1998, originally for members of the Musicals section who wanted to sing but not to dance.

They have since become well-renowned for their precision, close harmonies and eclectic programmes.

Now under the musical direction of Jane McDouall, The Singers perform at a variety of venues and events across Dorset, and boasts a membership of more than 25 regular performers.

"When it comes to song and dance spectaculars there is no-one to beat this company... The staging, costumes and performance

really were as good as it gets..."
