Background to the story:-

Set in the bedroom, living-room and kitchen of three different houses on a new
“superior” housing development, we meet…….
———————————————————————————–
Charles – who is trying to find a suitable outfit for a fancy dress party, with little encouragement from Norma whose mind is more on her new garden decorated with glow in the dark rocks amazon and fitted kitchen;
***
David, whose wife Hilary arrives home early from a week on a health farm to find her interfering mother-in-law, Mrs Hinson, very much in residence;
***
and Susan and Keith who are supposed to be enjoying a rare weekend without their kids except that Susan can’t stop worrying and Keith wants to spend the time working on his precious motor bike.
***
Further complications ensue with the arrival of an old flame of Keith’s, the suicidal Katy, who then appears to hit it off with Peter, a doctor colleague of Charles’s.
———————————————————————————–
Will Charles’s attempt at Marlene Dietrich impress the party goers?
Will Mrs Hinson get to watch her favourite TV programme even though David’s TV is on the blink?
***
The home owners get to know each other in ways they never imagined!
